Airspace on Garmins

There is a way to display airspace information on Garmin map instruments. See the 'airspace 4 Garmins page'.

The Laragne-Chabre area enjoys largely unrestricted airspace.  However, there are restrictions particularly the R71A Salon zone which operates Monday to Friday and is just too the South of the Laragne area.

There is an open air txt file which can be loaded into suitable GPS instruments which will show the competition airpspace limits that will be in force during this competition.Please note this is a simplified map for use in the competition only.Down load it Here

A map will be given to all pilots at registration showing the turnpoints and marking the competition airspace boundaries.

The Map below is a generalised map for the Alpes area , please note that for the competition we have secured an altitude exemption for part of restricted airspace R71A , but this is only for the competition dates.
